GYROTONIC®, GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and GYROKINESIS® are registered trade marks of Gyrotonic Sales Corp. and are used with their permission.

What is the difference between GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®?

Gyrokinesis, first called Yoga for dancers, is done on low stools and mats.

Gyrotonic is done on a machine called the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®.

What should I wear?

T-shirt and jogging pants are just fine, or any workout clothes. Wear something comfortable in which you can move easily.

Who can do this technique?

Everybody!

Currently the Gyrotonic Expansion System is used worldwide with great success amongst the circle of dancers, sports people, rehabilitation facilities, as well as general conditioning amongst people of all walks of life, from children to senior citizens.

How often should I take a session?

As often as you like! You can take a session every day or just once a week, depending on your schedule and budget.

How long is a session?

Gyrotonic private and duo sessions are one hour.
Gyrokinesis group sessions are one hour during the week and on Saturday we offer a two hour session!

What are the benefits of a 2-hour Gyrokinesis session versus one hour?

A 2-hour Gyrokinesis session offers a more complete experience of the technique. You’ll perform all the exercises, allowing you to progress more quickly in flexibility and strength.

A 1 hour Gyrokinesis session helps to maintain your conditioning from week to week.

Can I do this with an injury?

Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic training are generally very safe activities, even for individuals who may have a pre-existing injury. Please inform you instructor before a class if you have concerns about any current or previous injuries.
